Exercise

It is almost clear that you have already done hundreds of sit-ups, you have tried all those “miraculous” gadgets they show on TV, you may have even went to the gym to exercise on that instrument which helps improving your ab. After all your endeavors, you realized that everything was in vain, that your belly is “embellished” with that same old fat. All that physical exercise consisting of sit-ups, movements of the crunch type made with the help of that special exercise machine left your belly as it was to begin with. This kind of exercise is actually useless and that is how it will always be. If all the physical exercise you do is composed of crunches and sit-ups, then you should expect some unpleasant changes going on with your belly. Why? Because the muscles on your abs get bigger and they will push against the fat, giving you the impression that you have just added new layers.

Remember that supplements are absolutely useless. You could even be surprised to discover that they might just cause fewer calories to be burnt when you get to eat actual food. So, what results will you have by swallowing all those “fat burning” supplements? Absolutely none. The only pills that can actually burn fat are those prescribed by the doctors which, unfortunately, are extremely dangerous.

You must have spent thousands on all kinds of pills, very “effective” fat loss pills, all sorts of fake products, you must have tried every existing exercise of the cardio type, from the really fast and demanding ones to the slowest cardio programs ever invented. The result? Zip. Your flabby, horrible belly is still there, faithful as always.

It has been demonstrated that physical exercise such as interval training is actually more efficient than slow cardio meant to burn fat, and similarly, heavier resistance training is an exercise that manages to eliminate more belly fat and calories than the useless “high reps get you cut” type of exercise.

Specialists of the Laval University from Quebec decided to compare in one of their studies about interval cardio training, the steady, slow-moving cardio training with other type of exercise called interval training. The specialists discovered in amazement that those who did interval training managed to shake off more body fat, as opposed to those who did cardio. It is surprising because 99% of all the programs for fat loss recommend slow cardio as the most effective exercise for fat burning.

Physical exercise has been intensely studied during the past twenty years. All those exercises regarding fat loss which could be found in the magazines of the 80’s but also the 90’s are considered to no longer be effective exercises. Today, nobody will recommend steady physical exercise in the gym to work on one body part at a time, and then get bored with one long hour of slow cardio. This kind of exercise requests a lot of time and, besides, it is not that efficient.

An exercise device such as a treadmill was considered to work wonders when it came to losing body fat. Wrong! It was terribly expensive and nothing more. All fat loss programs which imply long, slow exercise are most likely to be almost totally inefficient. They may even cause injuries. There is another kind of physical exercise, which actually manages to burn fat efficiently. Such an exercise is able to burn more fat than the standard, traditional cardio exercise and it is based on strength training.

A traditional exercise for fat burning says nothing about strength training because most people cannot understand the principle that makes strength training be such an efficient exercise for fat loss. In the case when your program suggests strength training in order to lose fat, it might refer to the usual high reps to low weight, but that is actually futile as it has no influence on body fat.

Your exercise intended for fat loss must always include strength training provided that you want to have six-pack abs, flat stomach and defined arms. This type of exercise is very good for the protection of the mass of lean muscle which is usually lost during those stupid starvation diets but also in the case of a physical exercise such as slow cardio. Avoid such situations because you will lose 60 pounds in half a year, but then you will put back 70 in just three months’ time.

Physical exercise intended for the abdominal muscles is not efficient for burning fat, on the contrary, it might make you look even worse. No matter how many hours you will spend riding the bicycle, jogging or tread milling, no fat will be burnt. Do not forget that!
